The Xenophobes, latest news

The release of our movie is coming soon! It’s time to remind the world about our great project and get people to turn out to watch our film. The following are:
- Cast and crew: directions to cast and crew to help in our campaign to turn out viewers, and
- Media release: the message we’d like to tell the world.

Social Media Release Plan for Crew Members
The Goal: Mobilize your personal networks to rent, rate, and share on or right after launch day (March 6th). To give you a hand, we suggest copy and pasting from the Media Release section below. You can revise it however you want. You can even not use it and write from scratch. The key points are: communicate the impending release date, ask them to share the information with others, ask them to rent and rate the film.
Platform Strategy:
- Facebook – best for reaching family and older friends; post the full message with the IMDB link and a film still if you have one cleared for sharing
- Instagram – post a compelling image or short clip (even a behind-the-scenes photo of you on set), put the message in the caption, and add the link in bio
- Text message – for your closest circle, a personal text asking directly is far more effective than any social post
- Stories (IG/FB) – use these as reminders leading up to March 6th and again the day-of
Timing Cadence:
- Now (pre-launch): Post the teaser message to prime your audience
- March 5th: Post a “tomorrow’s the day!” reminder
- March 6th (launch day): Post the main call-to-action — this is your most important push
- March 7–10: Post a “thank you and it’s not too late” follow-up
Key Tips to Share with Crew:
- A personal, specific ask (“I worked on this — it would mean a lot”) outperforms generic posts every time
- Ask people to rate it immediately after watching, not later — they’ll forget
- Remind close contacts more than once; people need multiple nudges
- Share any positive reviews or press as they come in to build social proof
Friends and Family Media Release
Subject/Header: I need your help — 2 minutes and $4 could make a real difference
Hey friends and family —
You’ve heard me talk about The Xenophobes, the independent film I worked on. After a long road from production to distribution, it’s officially available to rent on March 6th on Amazon Prime and other platforms.
Here’s how you can support me and the whole crew with very little effort:
Rent it for $4 on March 6th — just search The Xenophobes on Amazon Prime (or your platform of choice).
Rate it — after you watch, drop it a star rating. On streaming platforms, ratings matter enormously for visibility.
Share this — forward this message to anyone you think would enjoy it. Word of mouth is everything for an independent film.
The film is only streaming for a few weeks, so mark your calendar now. This is the moment all that hard work pays off — and your support is what makes it happen.
